Partisan the Sea

My soon-to-be brother-in-law, Joey of Urban Jacksonville has put together an incredible poster show called Partisan the Sea. The show will open on Friday, September 26th at the Churchwell Lofts here in Jacksonville and will have another showing on October 1st. There are too many great artists to mention: some local, some not.

Here’s a little about the show that I pulled from the site:“This poster show, as you may have been able to tell by the title, is 100% Partisan. Yes, that means you can say whatever the hell you want with No Boundaries and No Borders. A direct demonstration of the first amendment in the form of the American Youths favorite wall decoration, posters! With the eve of a historical election on the horizon, in which this country is going to call amongst all of its citizens to come to its rescue, we wanted to do our part to inspire, enrage, and provoke the people of this country and our community to make educated choices and make their vote count.”

If you are in the area, be sure not to miss this event. And if you are not in the area, you can at least enjoy this lovely photo set that shows the process of making the official poster for the show, which was made by Levi Ratliff and Kendrick Kidd.
