Papernstitch reader, Maria emailed me a couple of days ago to let me know about her shop Orange by Mary John of Kings. Long name: great shop. Maria is an architecture student that has ventured in the world of urban craft. And after more than a year, Maria now has her work in several stores around Europe. 

Maria’s unique plaster brooches are only part of what she does. She also makes clothing and will draw on virtually any surface (even sneakers). As you can see from her brooches, Maria’s work is grounded in her drawings and that is infused with the textural surfaces that she creates. Very nice!
